These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Setva platform at setva.in, operated by Setva ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using Setva, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

Setva is a financial management platform for housing societies. It enables society administrators and members to track maintenance collections, manage expenses, monitor outstanding dues, and maintain financial transparency.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident or office-bearer of a housing society to use Setva. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• One society admin account is required to set up a society; additional members join via invite links

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Setva only for its intended purpose of housing society financial management. You must not:

• Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent financial records
• Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other societies
• Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation
• Share your login credentials or invite links with unauthorized individuals

5. Society Admin Responsibilities

If you are a society administrator, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring the accuracy of financial data entered into the platform
• Managing member access through invite links
• Reviewing and approving member join requests
• Maintaining appropriate access controls for your society's data

6. Data Accuracy

Setva is a tool for recording and tracking financial information. You are responsible for the accuracy of all data you enter. Setva does not verify the correctness of financial entries, and reports generated by the platform are only as accurate as the data provided.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep Setva available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

8. Intellectual Property

The Setva platform, including its design, code, logo, and content, is the property of Setva. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without written permission.

You retain ownership of all data and content you upload to Setva.

9. Limitation of Liability

Setva is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
• We are not responsible for financial decisions made based on data in the platform
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

10. Pricing

Setva is currently offered as a free Early Access product. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future, with reasonable notice to existing users. Any paid features will be clearly communicated before being charged.

11. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Setva shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Setva after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice.
